BATB score: 4/10 🤎

OMG. 12 main characters connected through societal roles as daughter, mother, grandmother, teacher, teacher's mother, student, girl-friend, girlfriend, gay transgender sister - throughout 12 chapters with 20+ other minor characters 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦👨‍👩‍👧👩‍👧👩‍👧‍👦 to complicate the stories even more #OMG

Best to: extremely difficult to follow through the stories, too many things happening at the same time, minimal build up of character, impossible to bond with any personality; aka a typical required read for a literature course

Dramatic stories? yes - overprotective woman-only cult, mother-in-law affair with your husband, gang-banged at 13, polygamous lesbians - but you really have to dig through the words/pages to find them

Best for: yep. womanhood is one multiplex affair.

Best as: the writing style is uniquely weird; literally no punctuation marks especially no full stops; sentence breathing-gaps constructed via enter tab (indent) enter tab (indent);

yep. typical required read for a literature course. how has the author blah blah blah
