BATB score: 3/10 🙊🗣🙉

*Reader discretion advised* Daniel Kahneman devotees, you are not going to like what I am about to say...

Best to: Kahneman himself wrote in his book's introduction that it is advisable to skip part 3 & 4 of this 6-part book. How odd is that? What kind of good author writes a book that is so difficult to digest, too technical and too watery (not conveying any impactful learnings relative to the number of pages) and admittedly recommends readers to skip 1/3 of his book?! Then why did you write it in the first place?!

Best for: I am going to say it, I never liked Kahneman's books. All this hype is fake news. To all readers out there, if Kahneman's books make you hate reading, feel depressed, or sleepy, it's not you, it's Kahneman.

Best as: I just wanted to repeat myself again. I never liked any of Kahneman's books.

Best passages: "social influences are a problem because they reduce group diversity without diminishing the collective error"

"Perhaps we should pick the most thoughtful, open-minded person, rather than the smartest one."

"If experts are not reliable in the sense that they are not consistent with themselves, then the basis of their judgements and professionalism is in question."
