BATB score: 7/10 😨💙🌀

BATB reading level: advanced

Suzanne O'Sullivan is an Irish neurologist - her book title, “It's All in Your Head: True Stories of Imaginary Illness”, is basically the one-liner summary of this book

Best for: you have to be into mystery illnesses, extraordinary people, ripley’s believe it or not, doctor’s tell-all documentary, TLC tabloid shows to read this book; because it’s sick and it’s about a super niche topic but it’s so damn interesting

Best to: “resignation syndrome” is when the body physically gave up from a psychosomatic disorder; for example, “sleeping beauty waking coma” where teen girls fell asleep for 10+ years (and still sleeping) in Sweden - why, how, what, exactly, true story, EXACTLY!

Best as: isn’t the best cure to psychosomatic disorder just a good support system?

Best quote: “struggling and unhappy - shouldn’t that have been enough to tell her to reassess her life? [only when hey symptoms were diagnosed with mild autism] Being autistic gave her permission to leave a job she hated.”
