BATB score: 6.6/10 🦞
Best to: the first 120-pages will bore you, the second 120-pages will arouse you, the third 120-pages will make you curious and even consider it a good book, and the last few pages will stun you and justify the book as a great novel; yet, I can not forgive you for the first 120-pages
Best for: experienced and patient novel readers who would be willing to read through the first 120-pages of boredom and is steadfast focused to finish novels 🤓
Best as: oh wow, coming soon July 2022, Where the Crawdads Sing by Netflix #dayum Netflix being Netflix, I do have high hopes for you
Fun Facts: I've learnt so much about marshland animals from this novel. 🦅 Did you know that female birds only got one ovary? 🧚♀️ Did you know that female firefly lures male firefly through tricky *come here come here* flashy patterns and then eat the silly lovestruck male? Do you know what a Great Egret is? No idea, me neither.
Best quotes: “Autumn leaves don't fall, they fly. They take their time and wander on this -their only chance to soar.”
“She laughed for his sake, something she’d never done. Giving away another piece of herself just to have someone."
“If anyone would understand loneliness, the moon would.”
