BATB score: 3/10 🤦‍♀️
the book lives in 2006 (as per its published year) - blaming and slapping myself for picking such a book
Best for: exceptionally wordy superficially covering heavy topics like price discrimination, taxation on the marginal, globalization, global warming, and China's strides
Best to: skip this book. Tim Harford's way of writing sounds like that uncle (we all have) that obviously is trying to make a very educated point but ends up making numerous unrelated points and you ask yourself what was the point listening to him in the first place?!? I am so confused.
Best as: I like the part about "The dictator has to keep the economy functioning in order to keep stealing from it” but that's about it - no further elaboration..
