BATB score: 6.6/10 š
Loved loved loved Rutger Bregman's "Humankind: A Hopeful History" 2019 masterpiece, yet his earlier triumph 2014 was a mishmash š„µ
Best to: numerous great controversial points: free money to end poverty, 15-hour work week, borderless nations, eradication of well-paid bullshit jobs; unquestionably concepts worth thinking about but it's all over the place and roughly substantiated
Best for: believers that this world can be fixed to utopia - gross national happiness > gross domestic product
Best as: to be honest, Rutger wrote this book when he was only 26 years old! hodge-podge mishmash but you so damn know that he's definitely something!
