BATB score: 10/10 💯

a critical and an essential read on mental work-life balance (as physical work-life is so yesterday's concept)

Best to: you know how work continues to linger in your mind on weekends? ya, that's no good; unfortunately in some cultures it is called 'dedication', 'devotion', 'determination', or even 'above and beyond' - so embarrassing, i know #badinfluence

Best for: don't brag about working overtime, over the weekend, or pulling all-nighters, it sucks and it's sad; on the contrary, showing that work is not the most important thing in your life is advanced cool beans; raise your hands if you are struggling to compartmentalise brain, also me 🙋‍♀️

Best as: conclusive of all the greatest hit books from Power of Now, Eat that Frog, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, Marie Kondo, Four Thousand Weeks, Atomic Habits - this book is a top hits mix tape

BATB reading technique: read 1 chapter per every other day - the gists of the chapter requires time to marinate and glisten ✨

Best quotes: "If you don't prioritise your life, someone else will."

“I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.”

"Just because I was invited didn't seem a good enough reason to attend."

"You cannot overestimate the unimportance of practically everything."
