oh my god! sorry, can not use god’s name in vain, oh my goodness! what is this book!?!

Book is saying:

A. ā€œ[…] know […] of the Spirit in your life, [and] you will have enough love ā€˜in the bank’ to be generous to your spouse even when you are not getting much affection or kindness at the momentā€

B. ā€œYour spouse and your marriage must be the number one priority in your life.ā€

C. ā€œSex is god’s appointed way for two people to reciprocally say to one another, ā€˜I belong completely, permanently, and exclusively to you’. You must not use sex to say anything less.ā€

Best as: I don’t want to be mean (be sinful and/or go to hell) but is it a little bit too much? cringey. it’s like having that sex ed talk with your parents or worst yet your distant uncle aka your pastor

BATB lingering thought: there are only two books being referenced to in the writings of this book (1) the Bible - obviously (2) The Lord of the Rings?

Best to: Bible studies season The Meaning of Marriage episode Sex and Spouse

Best for: as an agnostic (some times an atheist) trust me when I say, this book is made for christians

Best quotes: ā€œLongitudinal studies reveal that two-thirds of unhappy marriages will become happy within five years if people stay married and do not get divorced.ā€

ā€œThe best sex makes you want to weep tears of joy, not bask in the glow of a good performance.ā€

ā€œThe greatest sexual pleasure should be the pleasure of seeing your spouse getting pleasure - when you get to the place where giving arousal is the most arousing thing.ā€
